Welcome to Monkey Puzzle

Hello. I’m Nosh and I am the Nursery Manager at Monkey Puzzle Woodford. My team and I are dedicated to giving every child the best start in life by caring for and supporting them to play, learn and grow in a positive and stimulating nursery environment.

Extracurricular Activities

Petite Productions offer bespoke sessions at Monkey Puzzle Woodford, of the three intertwined theatrical disciplines; acting, singing and dancing, with their aim to produce a fun and energetic environment in which your child will grow in knowledge, confidence and the art of teamwork all through use of play. A member of the Petite Production team visits Monkey Puzzle Woodford on a weekly basis to provide engaging learning through play sessions that follows the EYFS framework and compliments the ongoing work of our Nursery Practitioners who they work alongside.

We do this by encouraging and promoting using their imaginations both inside and outside the setting, especially in our magical garden which allows the children to bring to life their favourite stories such as The Gruffalo, creating memories to last a lifetime.

Monkey Puzzle Woodford takes a holistic approach to learning guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS). Our team inspire through excellence in Early Years education placing the development and needs of the children we care for at the heart of everything we do. Nursery and preschool is a time when a child learns about themselves as much as the world around them. We enable this through the magic of learning through play and encouraging curiosity that stimulates the mind and body of children.

My daughter really loves Monkey Puzzle Woodford. She settled in so quickly and the only tears we get is when we walk past without going in! She's in the Tweenies room. The staff are all friendly and I get lots of feedback on what she's done during the day.

My son has been at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Woodford for a year, he started in babies and then moved to Tweenies. It really is a very special nursery, the facilities are fantastic as brand new and the garden is lovely but most importantly the staff go above and beyond every single day.

My son started in the babies room and has recently moved to tweenies. He has grown in confidence and is thriving there. They have been excellent with his food allergies, providing him with suitable meals which he enjoys. The staff have always been very friendly and welcoming.

The nursery is great, a lovely big space with lots of light and an incredible garden. It's always spotless! The place is secure but efficient for parents to come and go. Parking is great too. Staff are brilliant, helpful, caring and intuitive.

The team at Monkey Puzzle have been amazing with our son since he joined last year). The staff all know our little boy's likes and dislikes and they genuinely care. The nursery itself is also beautifully arranged, with the with the best outdoor space I have ever seen for a nursery.

As children grow, a healthy and balanced diet is key, and we inspire with a variety of colour, texture, and taste to expand their food experiences.

Seasonal and local produce are also important in helping children understand more about where food comes from and nutrition.

Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Woodford, is proudly located in the heart of Woodford in the IG8 postal sector. The nursery is on Snakes Lane W, opposite the Woodford Green Preparatory School and just down the road from Woodford Fire Station. This makes us well located for serving families in the London Borough of Redbridge.
